Grayson RECC SMS Privacy Policy and Terms

Effective Date: August 18, 2026

Grayson Rural Electric Cooperative Corporation, doing business as Grayson RECC (“Grayson RECC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), provides voluntary member text-message alerts under the Grayson RECC Member Alerts program. These SMS Privacy Policy and Terms govern information collected and used for that program and the text messages sent through it.

1. Scope and Acceptance

These terms apply when you provide your mobile telephone number and opt in to receive Grayson RECC Member Alerts. By opting in, you agree to receive recurring text messages from Grayson RECC at the mobile number you provide, subject to these terms. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of receiving electric service or any other product or service from Grayson RECC.

2. Program Description

Grayson RECC Member Alerts are intended to provide members with service-related communications, which may include outage and restoration information, safety notices, billing or account notices, and other operational information concerning Grayson RECC service. The program is not intended for emergency reporting. For an emergency or immediate service concern, contact Grayson RECC by telephone.

3. Message Frequency and Charges

Message frequency varies based on your account, service conditions, and the type of alert for which you enroll. Message and data rates may apply. Check your mobile-service plan for details about charges that may apply to text messages or data use.

4. Enrollment, HELP, and STOP

You may enroll through a method made available by Grayson RECC. You must provide a mobile number that you are authorized to use.

To stop receiving text messages, reply STOP to any Grayson RECC text message. After you reply STOP, you will receive one confirmation message and will no longer receive program messages unless you opt in again.

For help, reply HELP to any Grayson RECC text message or contact Grayson RECC at (606) 474-5136 or (800) 562-3532.
